Sorry for the Pause

Steve, this is for you! :-) Well, after a long haiatus, I am finally back to a wee bit of painting. I expanded on my first test figure and have finsied up the first 16 figures of a 36-figure battalion. Here they are based and pom-pomed to be the 1er and 2er Compagnie de Fusiliers.

I went with a "dry-ish" basing scheme for summer campaigning. The plan is to build generic forces for the Peninsular War, so again, it seemed most appropriate.

  2. Paul, Thanks for the kind words. They are Fantassin (Warmodelling). They're really nice sculpts, but not quite as nice as AB. Just like AB, they are 18's so they can be well used to increase pose variety on your gaming table. I get mine from Scale Creep Miniatures here in the States, but they can also be purchased directly from Warmodelling in Spain.

  4. Well you did a fine job on them,
Have a few of these figures I picked up in job lots with AB's. From what I have they are a mixed bag in detail in hight.
Hope you stick with 15mm-18mm however is you do switch look forward to seeing your new big wee men ;0)
    Cheers

Also I see the lad who designed the warmodelling/fantassin range has started his own line that look to be an good improvement on his earlier sculpts.

  5. Paul, Thanks again for the compliments. I am pretty sure I stumbled across something on the new figures that you speak of. It was on a spanish language blog, but I can't seem to find it again. Do you have any good links that you could pass along?
